Your Hosts:

As Head of the Gelardin New Media Center at the Georgetown University Library, Beth Marhanka directs the new media literacy and learning programs as well as emerging technology initiatives. She and her staff also work closely with campus partners to support instructional technologies across the University. Before leading the New Media Center, Beth was a research and instruction librarian and web coordinator at Georgetown. Her passion is pushing the boundaries of library services by making emerging technologies and creativity tools more accessible to anyone with a desire to produce new knowledge.

Koreen Pagano, Director of Enterprise Product Management, @ lynda.com & Author of Immersive Learning

Koreen Pagano is passionate about technology for organizational learning, with an emphasis on performance improvement and behavior change. Her roots are in education, having received her MS in Curriculum and Instruction from Penn State University. In 1999, Koreen helped start Freire Charter School and in 2008 founded Tandem Learning, where she pioneered immersive learning in organizations by leveraging virtual worlds, games and simulations. An internationally recognized writer, speaker and organizational consultant, Koreen is currently Director of Product Management, Enterprise at lynda.com. She has taught graduate courses at Harrisburg University, blogs at Learning in Tandem, and authored the book Immersive Learning.
